Small wind turbine

Wind turbines are the type of machines that are required to produce electrical energy from the wind blown and drive different types of applications such as pumping water, lumber jacking, trains etc. There are different types of wind turbines; one of them is the small wind turbine. It is defined as the type of wind turbine that is used to generate the electricity from the wind power but the energy output is quite less then the wind turbine operate commercially is called as the small wind turbines. Basically it was designed to carry on the generation of the electricity for the small process such as refrigeration and different types of heating processes also.

Types of Small Wind Turbines:
Due to the small size of the small wind turbines their types are very famous among the residential or the offices use as compared to the old and the typical wind turbines. Some important types of small wind turbines are as follows

  1. Residential turbines:

Type of small wind turbine that is required to generate the electricity for the home usage appliances is referred to as the residential wind turbines. Mostly the size of these wind turbines ranges the diameter of more then 20 feet but not less then 7 feet. These wind turbines are used to produce the electricity from 275 watts to 9050 watts during the process of generation. So we can say that these turbines are commonly used in the residences and offices also.

  1. Vertical Axis Turbines:

Another type of small wind turbines that is used for the process of generation of electricity for the refrigeration purposes commonly applicable on the low roof tops is called as the vertical axis wind turbines. Basically they are used to save the expense that is required to place the traditional turbines, they commonly used in the renowned companies such as Helix Wind etc.

How Small Wind Turbine Works?
The working of the small wind turbine based on the different steps and it is completely depends upon the setting the turbine in the specific areas or we can say theta installation of the turbine plays an important role in the working of the small turbines. In the installation process of the small wind turbines we should be very careful in selecting the place where the turbine is going to place. These turbines are placed on the specific area and also on the tower to keep it above from the populated area. The height should be kept more then 30feet from the ground level. And the one who wants to place the small wind turbine, make sure that the placement of turbine is quite higher from the wind obstacles. The basic things those are required to construct the small wind turbines are along tower, direct current generator, blades, and copper wires of different size. After the installation its time to discuss the working progress of the small wind turbines. Whole working of small wind turbines depends upon the power of the wind blown. When the wind strikes with the blades of the tower and the stars to generate the electricity that moves towards the circuits that are installed earlier with the help of wires and the direct current generator, then this generator starts and generates the electricity for the appliances that are connected with this turbine. Then the energy is supplied to them with the help of copper wiring.

Benefits of Small Wind Turbines:
There are lots of benefits of small wind turbines that play a valuable role in our daily life but few are; they produce electricity in the very low cost as compared to the old turbines; they produce the energy from the expense free resources etc.
